1. SSC Tuatura - 508.73 km/h (Disputed).

        SSC Tuatara is the successor of Ultimate Aero which held the record of fastest car in the world in 2007. In the videos of Tuatara Top speed run, the supercar's speed was displayed inaccurately. 

        The Automaker later came up later claiming that the problem was in video editing, but the results are accurate. In addition to that the GPS system responsible for verifying speed has not been validated by it's manufacturer Dewtron.

        In January 2021, SSC made a second run and set a two way average of 282.9 mph. This car comes with a price tag of  $1.9 million.

         Chiron Super Sport 300+ is a Limited Production High Performance Variant of Bugatti Chiron. This car is powered by a Quad-turbocharged W16 engine. Chiron hits 60 mph in 2.3 seconds. This car comes with a price tag of about $ 3.8 million.

       Koenigsegg Agera RS due to it's lightweight features and track optimised technology dubbed as "The Ultimate Track Tool" by the manufacturer. Each Agera can be fully customized by the customer.

    In 2017 Nevada Department of Transportation closed a 11 mile stretch just outside Las Vegas for two high speed runs done by Niklas Lilja, factory test driver of koenigsegg. The Average top speed of 277.87 mph was recorded by Guinness Book of World Records. The Price of this car starts at $ 2.6 million.

   Hennessey Venom GT came out of nowhere in 2014 to topple the mighty Bugatti Veyron. The Old Lotus Elise based Venom GT could run up to 270mph.
   
    In 2014, on Kennedy space center's 5.2 km shuttle landing strip in Florida, the Hennessey Team recorded a top speed of 270.49 mph. As the run was in a single direction and only 29 cars were produced, it was not qualified as world's fastest production car in Guinness Book of World Records (a minimum of 30 cars are required to be produced).
      
     The Final car in the produced was sold at a cool price of about $ 1.2 million.

         The Veyron Super Sport is faster, more powerful version of Veyron 16.4. The Super Sport has been driven as fast as 267.856 mph making it the fastest production road car in the world at the time of it's launch. Production was limited to 30 units and speed electronically limited to 258 mph to prevent the tyres from disintegrating.

        The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport World Record Edition is a version in which the electronic limit is lifted and only 5 units are produced. The price of this car is around $ 2 million.
